Teach Your child retrieval

The  best    way  to  help  your  children  is  to  give  them  the  skills  necessary  to   self  evaluate  their  learning. 

Reasearch  has  shown  that  repetitive  reading  is  not  effective  . Ask  your  child  to  read  once  and  ask  them  questions  about  what  they  read.

For  example  you    can  ask:  

What  they  found  interesting

What  they  found  confusing....

if  you  Use  this  practise repeatedly   with  your  children  they  Will  learn  to  use  this  technique  on  their  own.  

By  teaching  this  technique  to  your  children  you   will  equip  them with  a  skill  that  will  help  them  in  all  their  studies
